Sports Funding Allocation
What is the Sports Pupil Premium Grant?

The School Sports Premium Grant is additional funding from the Government to improve provision of physical education (PE) and sport in primary schools.  It is also used to improve the health and well-being of our pupils.

At Larkfields Junior, we want to give our children the necessary skills and enthusiasm to enable them to live a healthy and active life.  By providing a range of physical education lessons, after school clubs, lunch time clubs and by taking part in competitive sporting events, we will:

- Teach pupils the benefits of participating in physical activity

Develop physical confidence to enable pupils to engage in a variety of activities

- Encourage children to realise the enjoyment and self esteem they can gain from participating in sport and physical activity

Help pupils to cope with successes and failures in both competitive and cooperative sports and activities
