At Larkfields Junior school, to offer consistency and successful transition, we follow the Little Wandle Phonics scheme. This mirrors the scheme currently being used in our feeder Infant school.
The Little Wandle Rapid Catch Up scheme is offered to children who have been identified as needing extra support with their phonics. Alongside sounds that children are learning, they read sound appropriate books; this allows for children learning to read to apply their knowledge of their known sounds.
